Museum of 20th­­­­ and 21st Century Art of St Petersburg and its education team invite visitors to a new lecture course dedicated to the history of world art from ancient times to the present day!

At the final lecture of the course, museum visitors will be introduced to architecture of the Roman Empire – they will learn how amazing public buildings and triumphal structures appeared. We shall examine major masterpieces of sculptural relief and discuss the specifics of Roman historical thinking. In addition, listeners will be able to plunge into the private world of emperors – to make a virtual tour of their palaces and villas and explore decoration of the latter.
